Basaksehir

• Basaksehir [Bashak Shehir] is located on the European side of Istanbul, its municipality was established in 2008 after separating it from the municipality of Kucukcekmece.
• Related to the Basaksehir area are both Bahcesehir and Kayasehir.
• It is bounded on the north by the sazlıdere lake, a lake that provides many areas of istanbul with fresh water.
• It is also bounded on the south by the Marmara sea, surrounding it are the areas of Bagcilar, Esenler, Sultan Gazi, Kucukcekmece, Esenyurt, and Avcilar.

• What makes this area stand out among other regions is that it is built on a much modern infrastucture because of how recent the area is. • The region has one of the busiest metro lines in the city, as it takes you from Basaksehir to Kirazli, and from Kirazli to Olympiat, this lane is around 16KM long and consists of 11 stations.

• The Bahçeşehir Göleti Lake, which extends over an area of 300 thousand square meters, the lake is surrounded by a wide range of restaurants, cafes, clubs and many social facilities.
